Estate Recovery - WVU Center on Aging
- The "Medicaid Estate Recovery Act" allows the State to recover reimbursement for Medicaid costs from the estate of a deceased Medicaid recipient who received long-term care services paid for by the Medicaid program. The law provides significant protection for certain family members who survive the Medicaid recipient. The law went into technical effect in June 1995. Medicaid Estate Recovery - What Seniors Should Know
