Jodie has worked at Legal Aid since 2008. As Associate Director and Managing Attorney of the Behavioral Health Advocacy (BHA) Program, she assists in managing and operating a statewide network of staff who serve adults and children struggling with mental or behavioral disorders. She also serves as legal advisor to the BHA Program, including the Family Advocacy Support and Training Program (FAST). Prior to coming to Legal Aid, she served for six years as a public defender in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia. During her tenure, she served on the committee that created the first mental health and drug courts in West Virginia.

Jodie earned her B.A. from West Virginia University, and her J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law where she graduated Order of the Barrister and was a George C. Baker Cup Champion. She is based in LAWV’s Wheeling office, and is an active member of the community, serving as board member and advisor to several nonprofits, including The Children’s Home Society of WV, and the Ohio County Family Resource Network.
